Everybody loves Stan! It's a fact of life! Did you see my Random Thoughts page of cool TMO quotes? Here it is:
High and Mighty Lord Uzi-Bazooka VII wrote:
GOOD "TALES OF MONKEY ISLAND" LINES:

W.P. GRINDSTUMP: He won't take "No! Ouch! Quit stabbin' me!" for an answer.

GUYBRUSH: Set sail for Spinner Cay!
VAN WINSLOW: Could you point to the map, sir?
GUYBRUSH: No! You know where it is!
VAN WINSLOW: But I like the map!
GUYBRUSH: You're making me look bad!
--
GUYBRUSH: Could you hold this for me?
VAN WINSLOW: Why, yes, sir. I'll put it right here, and we can pretend that it's our map. Remember the map, sir? *sniff.*

GUYBRUSH: When I was a young pirate, I would sit on the deck of my ship at night and watch the seagulls swooping majestically overhead. And then they started pooping on me. So I quit doing that.

I love how at the end of Lair of the Leviathan, Murray (my favorite Monkey Island character!) is making fun of the credits. "Animation? I don't need animation! I LIVE!" And...so on, so forth.

The best part of the Murray credits sequence: "Ah, the play testers. So much pizza, and yet they still don't know what kind of meat it was."

Well, someone in PoN just said "owned"
Almost as bad as the time that guy from KH2 said "owned" as well.
That's offensive! Well, to me, anyway.

I really don't know how to explain it... The Wikipedia article isnt that great... It's kind of like Sonic and Metroid combined... I'll post some screenshots...

(if you need help downloading, or whatever, post something like that. It took me a while to figure out)

This is what I was doing with Marathon, ultimately. But yeah, didn't turn out.

And Jazz Jackrabbit is a rip off of Commander Keen. Epic Megagames then ripped id Software off AGAIN by making Unreal tournament, which came out two days before Quake III Arena. Except Unreal Tournament was much better, while Commander Keen trumps ALL sidescrollers. EVEN MARIO. THAT'S RIGHT, NINTENDO'S GOLDEN BOY IS TRUMPED. The sad thing being very few people know or care about Commander Keen. Mostly because despite being 20 years old this year, he's still being sold (Because id NEVER stops selling games.) While Jazz Jackrabbit or Abuse can be found as abandonware for free.

By the way, since my old, original copy of Doom II doesn't actually work on Windows 7, I had to get the zdoom WAD, which does. Man, it is SO MUCH BETTER! It's like Doom the way I always wished it was. "Man, I wish I could jump." Well, you can! "I wish I could actually AIM." That, too! "I wish I could have some pizza." Hey, that's a good idea. I'm gonna go have some pizza.

Get Ultimate Doom, which is just Doom 1. I always found the level design to be better in Doom 1, even though Doom 2 had two more employees on level design.
I got it free on my lappy, when I bought it on eBay. It was loaded on there with Quake and Duke Nukem 3D.
