Final Fantasy Legend II -LET'S PLAY-

An important note to viewers - As this box art clearly states, it is for Game Boy. As such, I will be playing it on my Game Boy, and capturing the images on my cellular telephone.



I think i sold my original gameboy back in the early 2000s. Bummer. As for this beauty, it was SO drained of power, when i plugged it in the charging light didn't come on. Took me about a full hour before i could turn it on (keep in mind, it was still on the charger)



The title screen. I could press continue, as I have a game saved on the final boss battle, and I could just end it now, but that wouldn't be very fun now would it?



So now I'll just make myself a guy. Let's see... Human, male. Name? Cash... Mon-OH CRAP WHAT DO YOU FREAKIN MEAN 4 LETTER MAXIMUM OH MAH GOD.
Well, since the game says my name is under 4 letters, I'll just go with cash.



And the backstory. Apparently my father left me when i was young, and gave me some mystical glowing orb or power. 20 years later, he still hasn't returned, and apparently I still live with my mother. She tells me all this bull crap about how dad's nice and happy somewhere, and I should get my teacher to talk me outta this nonsense.

Fortunatly for me, My teacher, who's name is apparently "Mr. S", says that this is a very good idea, and that I should bring four comrades! HELLS YEAH LETS SMASH SOME HEADS!



Can't go on no journy without Uzi! And im fairly certain in real life, he's some sort of strange mutant with an eyepatch.

Im not quite sure what i had disk be.

Anyways, now that we've gone through every four-letter user, let's get to some gameplay!



ACTUAL GAMEPLAY GRAPHICS



I conviniently started in a town, where a guy who looks exactly like Uzi tells me about some northern cave

THIS SEEMS VERY IMPORTANT!



I broke into some lady's house, and she hands me this potion! WOW! I thought for shure she would call the cops, especialy since i egged her house last hallowen!

Anyways, lets get to this "Northern Cave"



Really? REALLY? Bro don't you need to, like, teach... whatever it is you teach. Oh well, come on i guess.



Alright, the BIG MAP! Let's get this show on the road!



I think i found that cave. Shockingly, it was to the north.



Alright, guys! This is gonna be easy, we're in the cave and nothing has attacked us! This'll be easy! Although, Im SERIOUSLY suprised at the lack of......

Yeah, I'll do more. This game is unbelievebly fun, it's just kind of a pain in the @$$ to get the pictures. Expect the next part today.

a note: In this game, every other step is a btlle, so to keep my phone from exploding, im only going to post ones with new enemies or boss battles mkay.

I think I found it



Some guy in the town told me a cleric named 'Ki' was at this shrine. Let's talk to her and she what she knows.



So i asked her about MAGI and she wants to know what we'll do with em and them I'm all like "Nah, I'm just looking for my dad who is looking for this" and shes like "That guy with the hat? He came here and left."

Than she told me about some ruins where some magi are, so guess where I'm gonna go.



Here we are at the ruins...

Okay, so the got out, but lets check and see if they left anything.






All right, we finnaly got some of this magi that everyone's talking about. From what I gather, these add to your power, mana, and agility. Let's equip these up!



Alright, click on MAGI



Select the magi, and character



and equip!

REASONS FOR EQUIPING TO WHO I DID: Uzi's normal attacks do, like, 2 damage, and Disk had 0 mana



All right, let's follow that fat piece of crap!

They're the guardians. They came to protect the magi, but the failed. Ashura's men took it.

Okay, starting right now, I won't abuse it anymore. Despite the fact that I just found out about it.

THE DEAL WITH SWEARS:

Censoring or partially censoring swears has always been okay. Using asterisks like MMM did is allowed, even if there's just one (example: "d*mn".)The more comic-book-style censoring, like "@$$", has always been allowed as well. In addition, the two swears that are allowed without censoring (in moderation, of course) are "Hell" and "Piss", as decided by the 2010 Swearing Council.

However, MMM, you might want to tone it down. Seemed a bit excessive there.

Ashura strikes, stealing MAGI from those who protect it, putting the entire universe in danger! Our hereos must defeat this wicked man(?) and retrieve the magi. Or are they already to late...



Here it is, let's go in and finish this!



Ahh man! Looks like we might need some help with this.

Great news, she'll help us.
Lets see what kind of weaponry she's got



Hammer, thunder, cure, bronze armor. Not to bad for this world. Her attributes are pretty good, too. NO ONE STANDS A CHANCE LETS GO!



Here's a town over by that base, lets go and stock up on supplies.



Those are stores. The one with the sword sign is a weapons shop. The one with the vase is a potion shop. Lets get some potions.




We wanna buy some stuff i want the HIGHEST QUALITY at the LOWEST PRICE



Alright, lets get some bronze helmets, cause those are obviously potions!

{Game note: Armor adds defense to a character, which, not surprisingly, heightens said characters resistance to attacks.}



I also stopped by the weapons store and bought a 'psi' knife. Higher MANA increases the effect of this weapon.

{Game note: Weapons are affected by the attributes. Higher strength results in more powerful sword attacks. Higher mana results in more powerful spell attacks. High agility results in more powerful dagger attacks. Some weapons don't follow this chart (ex: psi knife), but most do}

Uzi has the most spells and stuff, so i'll give this to him. As such, I switched the mana magi to Uzi and gave the speed magi to Disk.



Lets stop at the inn to get healed up before the battle. Inns also add uses to your weapons (that little number next to them on the attack screen? thats how many more times it can be used)



I got plenty of GP, so lets heal up and head on.

Alright a battle! Toad and Fungi doesn't stand a chance!



Uzi's gonna test out his brand new Psi



and it killed him.
"Well, i guess it works, reckon i can't send it back an' say it's defective an' get a two for the price of one coupon or nothin like that."

In all honesty, i've had this game all my life, and this is the second time I've gotten that to work.



We killed that fungi, it dropped meat, Disk turned into something even stranger, and Uzi got more mana. Just your typical after-battle



You would think with all these minions around, someone would have raised the alarm, but we are still undetected for the most part.

{Game note: I have disk in front to try to get him more hitpoints. He has, like, 40 and everyone else has between 70 and 100}



Silver armor! One step up from the bronze! I'll equip this to Cash



an axe! I'll equip this to S.V. As a robot, he has the most strength, so this'll cause more damage.



An empty area! The boss battle has to be around here somewhere!

After all the attacks go through, we killed it. We have succeded in clearing this land of Ashura! However, apparently this is just hhis number 2. The real Ashura is over in the next world.



Victory! rip and tear RIP AND TEAR RIP AND TEAR



If you can't read that; apparently Ashura already has most of the stolen magi.



And now, like all good boss battles, the base is now going to explode.



CHESTS! C-CAN IT BE?

My plan is to have a short intermission between each act, to give me time to collect the images for each act.

The intermission is one story, that will be broken up into sections between the acts.

DooM jokes + genuine hilarity + an actual possibility of finishing the game = making this an awesome Let's Play.

Crappy 3-part MSPA-style Intermission = putting this Let's Play back on thin ice.
